It’s been a crazy year, and valuations are stretched, but the market kept charging higher. Are we in a bubble? Yes, but when will it end, where is the froth, and where is there value? Only time will tell.
The Asymmetric Portfolio, my version of “showing my work” or “putting my money where my mouth is” as an investor, has been ahead of the market most of the year and then shot higher since October. Some of that was the election bounce, but some was a reaction to great Q3 earnings. I expect volatility ahead, but it’s been a great year, no matter how you look at it.
